Because of the incredible amount of work required to set up our location, we will be scheduling several work parties between now and the start of Camp.
Parents are expected to contribute a minimum of 8 hours for children attending three weeks or more of camp or 4 hours for children attending less then three weeks.
Helping at work parties is fun and shows your kids that you care about their Camp. They learn cooperation and volunteering from your example.
For those who aren't able to help with the physical work we are always looking for parents with special talents and skills to help out in different ways. If you feel that your talents might be better used in some other way, please speak with the Camp directors. We will be contacting each family to coordinate service projects.
Families who do not volunteer in some way will be charged to cover the cost of paying for a substitute worker.
For campers attending 3 weeks or more the charge is $200.
For campers attending less then three weeks the charge is $100.
The dates for Work Party for the 2010 camp will be June 12th. In the event of inclement weather rain dates will be announced. Please check back for more information.
Work party starts at 8am and ends at 5pm each day. If your obligation is for only 4 hours total, please arrive at camp before 1pm to receive full credit for your time.
